Access to nutritious food is essential for maintaining health—especially for expectant mothers experiencing a high-risk pregnancy or food insecurity. Nutrition has a direct impact on both maternal and fetal health, which is why medically tailored meals can play an important role in supporting mothers and their babies.
Prenatal Dining
Eating well during pregnancy is vital for the health of both mother and child. A balanced, nutrient-rich diet can:
-
Support fetal development: Key nutrients such as folic acid, calcium, and iron aid in the development of the baby’s brain, bones, and blood.
-
Boost maternal health: Proper nutrition can help reduce the risk of complications, including gestational diabetes and high blood pressure.
-
Improve digestion: Fiber-rich foods promote healthy digestion and help prevent constipation, a common concern during pregnancy.
-
Enhance energy levels: Nutrient-dense meals provide sustained energy throughout the day.
-
Strengthen immunity: Vitamins and minerals from fruits and vegetables help protect against illness.

Meals with lower sodium, potassium and phosphorus
If you have kidney disease, kidney failure, or need a kidney-friendly diet for any reason, our low sodium, renal friendly meal plan can help. We carefully watch the amounts of sodium, potassium, and phosphorus in each meal to support healthier kidney function. Following guidelines from the National Kidney Foundation, our meals have:
-
750 mg or less of sodium
-
700 mg or less of potassium
-
230 mg or less of phosphorus
Why a renal-friendly meal plan matters
Keeping sodium, potassium, and phosphorus low can help slow the progression of kidney disease and reduce problems like high blood pressure or mineral buildup in the bloodstream. By eating a diet designed for kidney health, you may feel better and avoid further complications.
Renal-friendly plan
-
Lower sodium: Helps manage blood pressure and eases the workload on your kidneys.
-
Controlled potassium and phosphorus: Prevents excess minerals from building up in your blood, which can protect your kidneys and other organs.
-
Moderate protein levels: Gives you enough protein to stay healthy without overloading your kidneys.
Plant-Based Power
If you follow a meat-free lifestyle—or you just want more plant-based meals—our vegetarian home delivery plan can help. Our meals are both tasty and filling, making it easier to stay committed to a vegetarian diet. Along with saving time on cooking and shopping, you’ll get the health benefits that come from eating more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
How it's done our way
A vegetarian or vegan diet can boost heart health, help you manage your weight more easily, and lower inflammation in the body. It may also reduce your risk of certain diseases like high blood pressure and Type 2 diabetes. By focusing on plant-based foods, you can get the nutrients you need while cutting back on saturated fats often found in meat.

-
Meat-free options: Perfect for people who want a fully vegetarian diet or anyone adding more plant-based meals to their routine
-
Rich in plant-based proteins: Enjoy tofu, beans, lentils, or other protein sources that help you stay full and energized
-
High in fiber: Vegetables, fruits, and whole grains support digestive health and encourage a healthy gut microbiome
-
Lower cholesterol and heart disease risk: Less meat often means fewer saturated fats, which can help control blood pressure and lower bad cholesterol
We help you set up your first order and delivery schedule. After that, you can log in and manage your own orders. We’re always here if you need help, and we’ll keep in touch to make sure you’re satisfied.
Here’s how orders and deliveries work:
-
You’ll get an authorization after your Medicare Advantage plan or Medicaid waiver is approved. Ask your case manager about your specific process.
-
During our first call, we set your delivery schedule. You can choose deliveries twice a month or once a month, and you can change this any time. Most members choose once a month because it allows for more food options, fewer deliveries, and extra meals for emergencies.
-
If we can’t reach you before your first order, we’ll pick a shipping date based on your plan’s start date and your dietary needs. We’ll call every day before your shipping week to let you know your delivery date.
-
After placing your first order, we’ll give you a login and password so you can order online or by phone, email, or fax. Our customer service team will call monthly to check that you got your meals and are happy with them. We’ll keep your feedback to help with future orders.
-
If you can’t place your next order or we can’t reach you, we’ll send the same meals as before. We won’t stop delivering unless you ask us to.
